The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new passenger identification system at all airports in the country for the procurement and prevention of smuggling and money laundering.
Pakistan Customs has launched a risk management system to identify travelers at seven airports in the country. Under this system, pre-identification of passengers will be possible.
According to the statement, the system is designed keeping in mind the implementation of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) action plan. With this system, drug smugglers and money launderers will be caught.
