QUETTA: Quetta Customs and Security forces in a joint operation recovered foreign goods worth Rs 150 million.
According to customs sources, the staff of the customs check post at FC and Ziarat Cross raided a caravan near Muslim Bagh yesterday.
During the raid, 136,000 liters of foreign diesel, foreign plastic bags, cigarettes, lattice, cloth, Chinese salt, tobacco, almonds, coolers and other items were recovered.
About 10 Hino trucks were also seized during the operation, but the smugglers fled after seeing customs and FC officials.
Chief Collector Customs Muhammad Sadiq, Collector Customs Preventive Dr. Farid Khan, Additional Collector Moin Afzal Ali, Deputy Collector Dr Zohaib Sandila appreciated the performance of Superintendent Saleem Agha, Inspector Ahmad Nawaz Zehri and Inspector Bashir Wazir among others.
