Where illegal trades and practices are involved, everyone loses except crime. There are many destructive consequences that come along illegal trades and downright destroys our economy and country as it robs government of the tax revenues and becomes a barrier in the effectiveness of public health policies and general rules and regulations. The illegal trade of products is what undermines our legitimate industry’s business resulting in wage stagnation and poor business situations.
Furthermore, the illegal trade practices also expose consumers to products that are unregulated and often manufactured in unsanitary conditions and also threatens the security by being a major source of illegal income for the criminal groups. This eventually encourages corruption and threatens the rule of law in countries where illegal trade is a routine.
